The Foo Fighters let slip a little exciting nugget of information about a possible Aussie tour…

The twitter page of the rock mega-stars the Foo Fighters revealed that they’re returning to Australia after the release of their upcoming album Wasting Light.

The twitter post revealed that Sydney would be one of the destinations on the forthcoming tour that has yet to have a confirmed date and that fans should keep an eye on the Channel V facebook page to get the skinny on the tour.

What is it with bands these days? Can’t they just email us press releases? We gotta go searching for it all over the damn internet? OMG Dave Grohl just CALL ME with the details already. Sheesh.

This will be their first foray back to our shores since selling out venues across the nation in 2008 in support of Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace which hit number one on the ARIA charts.

The first song from the new album to come to air was White Limo, released on Valentines day as a gift to Foo fans as a taste of things to come.

The tour news coincides with the digital release of the first single, Rope, from new album Wasting Light.

The Foo Fighters seventh album, Wasting Light is available on Monday April 11 through Sony Music Entertainment Australia. Stay tuned for more details.
