Griffin was last in Australia in 2008.
Folk singer-songwriter Patty Griffin has revealed a huge string of Aussie tour dates, hot off the heels of her recent album release.
It’s been over a decade since Griffin touched down in Australia. After emerging from a personal hiatus, during which time she fought cancer and subsequently retrained her voice, Griffin released her eponymous LP in March.
“Sometimes the shit hits the fan and there’s nothing you can do about it,” Griffin said.
“So you dig your way out of it and you learn a lot. That concept has been in place in my mind and my body for a long time. It’s normal stuff. It’s life. It’s a pain in the ass.”
On her extensive east coast tour, the folk icon will be hitting a bunch of capital cities, in addition to some intimate regional venues and Port Fairy Folk Festival.
