Flemington Theatre Company is excited to present our ten year anniversary production: ‘Murder Before Me’.
Ten years ago, 14 actors trod the boards with our first community theatre show in a primary school hall with no music or microphones. We’ve now grown to a cast of 30 with a solid crew of experts and a professional approach to all things theatrical.
This year’s show finally delivers a ‘who-dun-it’ for all of our dedicated supporters who have been patiently requesting a murder mystery. But, of course, there’s a twist – or three – and if we say too much more, it will all be spoilers.
I think we can get away with saying that a group of actors ventures to an Aussie campsite in the bush for a rehearsal retreat, but (being a murder mystery) there’s a murder, and it’s a mystery. Fortunately, Detective Knight is assisted by Louise the mind-reader who can hear all of the actor’s inner thoughts (expertly played by 11 of our younger actors). That’s all we can say!
The FTC is an inclusive community theatre group with actors and crew aged between 7 and (nearly) 70. We perform original shows with original music and our very own jokes. Sometimes we’re brilliant; sometimes we just have damn good fun.
We’re very grateful to our audiences over the past ten years who have watched us experiment with songs, videos, COVID, rhyming couplets, good and bad jokes, and stunt doubles (in our dreams). We’d love to see you all back for our 2025 production to help us celebrate the fun of live theatre.
