Live Irish music at The Quiet Man Pub 

Every Friday and Saturday, The Quiet Man Pub hosts a night of live music and performance by young Irish musicians. The Flemington Pub is renowned in Melbourne for its genuine Irish ambience and food, while its live performances showcase the best in contemporary Irish music. The performances kick off at 9.30pm. Coming up this Friday July 12 is Cairns-born singer-songwriter Rhys Tolhurst. Free entry. More info here.

Melbourne Tango Orchestra at The Boite

If you’re feeling a little exotic, the 11-piece Melbourne Tango Orchestra will be at The Boite on Friday July 12. In addition to playing some classic tango standards, the orchestra will be visiting the works of tango greats Anibal Troilo, Osvaldo Pugliese and Carlo Di Sarli. More info here.

D Henry Felton at The Fyrefly

Aussie expat musician D Henry Felton has just finished demoing fresh new tracks in Los Angeles. Now, he’s heading to St Kilda venue The Fyrefly with roots artist Sarah Carroll this Saturday July 13 for an evening of Americana and rock. More info here.

Melbourne indie pop outfit Tender Buttons will be playing some dreamy tracks at Brunswick’s Bergy Seltzer this Friday July 12. The four-piece will be joined by Melbourne techno folk duo The Marion Cranes. More info here.

Stoner metal band Beastwars are heading to The Espy this Friday July 12. The New Zealand outfit released their latest album, IV, in June and are raring to celebrate their latest achievement. More info here.
