Fitzroy’s iconic Rose Street Artists’ Market is back

Rose Street Artists' Market

Fitzroy's Rose Street Market is back and giving you the chance to shop direct from local artists, or exhibit your own work, every Saturday and Sunday.

One of Melbourne’s best local markets, the Rose Street Market (at 60 Rose Street in Fitzroy, just off Brunswick Street) is returning this month to show off the best in local creativity every Saturday and Sunday from 10am til 4pm. It’s celebrating 18 years as a pillar of the city’s handmade trading.

It’s always quite the visual feast, offering Melburnians the chance to shop and buy directly, ask questions and form connections with some of the city’s integral artistic talents.

What you need to know

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

It’s also, vis-a-vie, offers creatives the chance to showcase and sell their work directly to the public so if that sounds like exactly what your passion project or profession needs right now, find out more info here.

February is the perfect time to get involved, with the market showing off a whopping 200 new local makers (lockdown’s worked wonders). Head down there, peruse the flashy stalls, and collect, source and commission some unique handmade works that will transform your domain.

There’s usually a bit of everything on offer, from homewares to sustainable fashion to one-off jewellery to paintings. In keeping with the times, the market also has a fantastic online store that’s set up as a rather beautiful web gallery, you can check that out here.

What’s more, it’s planning on expanding its horizons beyond Melbourne’s artsy mecca Fitzroy and the organisers say they’ll be popping up all over Melbourne soon, so stay tuned through their socials here.

The Rose Street Market is available on Insta here and Facebook here.
