Josh Cashman has had a massive 2017, showcasing his work around the world, signing major deals and touring with some of the country’s biggest names.
As we reach the latter end of the year, the eloquent songster isn’t slowing down but speeding up. Lusciously layered with vivacious synths and heartfelt vocals, his new EP is finally with us.
Instinct is a product of Cashman being locked away in a studio for a fortnight with lauded producer Jan Skubiszewski (John Butler Trio, The Cat Empire, Illy). Mastered by Joe LaPorta of Sterling Sounds (David Bowie, Foo Fighters), the seven tracks evoke a novel sense of confidence and maturity from the Gippsland talent.
Much of its inspiration was spurred on the road in the United States where he resided for two months earlier this year. Touring alongside booming talent Tash Sultana, Cashman also played six showcases at SXSW and headlined his first ever show in New York at the famed Rockwood Music Hall.
With the release of the EP comes a massive end of year tour where Cashman will take to festival stages and intimate bandrooms all around the country.
