Described as a playful gathering of artists and like-minded people in Victoria’s beautiful Macedon Ranges, Festival 23 offers three days and nights of electronic music from January 27-29 next year.
Their motto? Leave better than you came. Most of the time, this is impossible at an electronic festival, let alone one that happens smack bang in the middle of summer. Yet Festival 23 is overtly different – it’s an intimately sized, community-built, immersive electronic music, arts, and camping festival that champions a selection of the most innovative acts on the international festival stage and a broad domestic lineup.
Ultimately, it’s all about the music though, and that’s where we’re really impressed: it’s a beautifully curated, mature electronic lineup featuring almost entirely internationally renowned producers and selectors. Clearly, whoever put this thing together really knows their shit.

It all goes down just an hour from Melbourne on the lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People. In the rolling hills of the Macedon Ranges, backdropped by stunning vistas, complete with a pool and freshwater damn where you can enjoy music and swimming all day.

The festival’s location is in Lancemore, Macedon Ranges – nestled in the rolling hills between the towns of Kilmore and Lancefield.
The picturesque 300-acre property offers a fresh water dam to swim in, plunge pool, tennis courts, lush campgrounds and amazing infrastructure. The entire multi-room venue inside looks pretty lux as well, and will be utilised for you to explore with all sorts of surprises and adventures to discover.
