The 2025 festival theme Embrace the Journey, Shape Our Future is all about shouting out the rich cultures that contribute to Victoria’s vibrant community – and nothing says cultural appreciation like stuffing your face with authentic eats while vibing to live music.
The weekend’s lineup is stacked with performances that’ll have you questioning why you ever thought scrolling TikTok was a legitimate weekend activity.
Headline acts kick off Friday evening at 5pm, with an absolutely hectic schedule of performances running from midday Saturday and Sunday. Cultural heroes Siesta Cartel, Sorbo Amplio, 155cm and Firefly are just a few of the acts set to blow your mind across the weekend.
But let’s be real – you’re going for the food. With more than 50 vendors slinging international cuisine, your tastebuds are in for a proper globetrot.
Zuya’s smoky African BBQ will have you questioning your life choices, while Colombo’s Sri Lankan curries will transport you straight to flavour town. For Middle Eastern food fanatics, Mr Toum’s Lebanese dishes are the real deal, no tourist trap nonsense here.
And sweet tooths – we haven’t forgotten you. Those famous Toyoki Soufflé Pancakes that dominate your Insta feed? They’re ready for their close-up, and your stomach.
The Victorian Multicultural Commission is encouraging punters to rock up in cultural dress, turning the festival into a sea of vibrant threads – so dust off those traditional fits and get amongst it.
At just $4 entry (free for the under-12s) and no bookings required, this is the perfect excuse to ditch your usual overpriced brunch spot and experience a proper cultural feast.
