Fatboy Slim has just announced a surprise show at Revolver Upstairs…with a twist

Legendary UK producer and DJ Norman Cook is bringing his Fatboy Slim project to one of Melbourne's most iconic nightclubs.

Fatboy Slim will perform a special in-the-round DJ set at Revolver Upstairs next Wednesday. The intimate show comes amid an extensive Australian tour that includes winery performances and outdoor spectacles across the country.

The Revolver Upstairs show offers Melbourne fans a rare opportunity to experience the Big Beat pioneer in a club environment, contrasting with his larger festival-style performances at other tour stops.

Early bird general admission tickets for the Revolver show are priced at $40, with standard general admission at $45. Tickets go on sale at 11am AEDT tomorrow (Friday 14 March) via the Frontier Touring website, with limited second release tickets available at the door on the night until sold out.

The surprise club show adds to Cook’s already extensive Australian tour, which kicks off tomorrow in Perth and includes performances in NSW, SA, VIC and QLD. The tour features an impressive lineup of supporting acts for the outdoor shows, with DJ Seinfeld, CC:DISCO! and Jennifer Loveless joining the bill.

Known for hit tracks like Rockafeller Skank, Praise You, and Right Here, Right Now, Fatboy Slim has maintained a longstanding connection with Australian audiences throughout his career. His energetic performances blend elements of big beat, breakbeat, acid house and funk into crowd-pleasing sets that have made him one of electronic music’s most enduring figures.

The Melbourne Roundhouse show has already sold out, making this newly announced Revolver Upstairs performance the last chance for Melbourne fans to catch the DJ in an intimate setting. The in-the-round format will place Cook at the center of the venue, surrounded by the audience on all sides, creating an immersive dance experience in one of the city’s most storied nightclubs.

Beyond his Australian tour dates, Cook will also perform at the Crown Lakeside Festival as part of the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix 2025 on Sunday 16 March.
