Fairtrade Narcotics

Genre fluid chaos agents FAIRTRADE NARCOTICS return to their old Sydney Road stomping ground on a mission to blast the roof off the Artists Bar! Joined by friends Tess Hannah and their band, Friday June 24th will be an evening of live music to defrost your winter brain fog and get the synapses firing again.

Following a succession of soaring live performances in Naarm, FAIRTRADE NARCOTICS are a five piece that have built a reputation for their dynamic stage chemistry and distinctly original blend of heavy-meets-jazzy progressive rock & soul.
The music is free, the cocktails are reasonably priced. The people must be reminded that trumpet infused space-rock exists, and the galactic perimeter must be secured.

Naarm/Melbourne-based artist Tess Hannah, the queer champion of moody rock, has learned that giving voice to their inner demons is a shitload more cathartic than letting them fester and rot.

Inspired by artists like Angel Olsen and Phoebe Bridgers, Tess shares their personal experiences as a non-binary artist touching on subjects of sexual assault, heartbreak, queer intimacy and more. This has gained Tess Hannah praise and recognition for their bold, brooding sound with an air of dark humour and alluring intimacy.
