Opening the two-day event will be Mardi Caught (Warner Music Australia), Jodie Regan (Spinning Top Music) and Susan Heymann (Chugg Entertainment) as they divulge expereince from their respective fields in touring, artist management and record company leadership. Combined, the expert trio steer the career of Tame Impala, manage a major label housing Ed Sheeran, Skrillex and Safia, and handle countless tours.
This year’s guest speaker will be New York-based Editor in Chief of Noisey, Fred Pessaro. Pessaro will join Editor of Rolling Stone Australia, Mathew Coyte and writers Brodie Lancaster and Marcus Teague in a discussion exploring trends in music journalism and opportunities for publication.
Elsewhere, founder of Berlin’s Love Parade, Dr. Motte will join Jochen Arbeit (Einstürzende Neubauten, Die Haut, Automat), Berlin-based writer of City Of Exiles Stuart Braun and electronic producer David Haberfeld (Honeysmack) to discuss musically-inspired urban subcultures.
