The event’s In Conversation this year includes Triple J’s Dom Alessio having a chat with Antipodean pop songstress Kimbra and The Vine’s Marcus Teague speaking with Soundwave Touring head honcho AJ Maddah.
There will be 22 conference panels, featuring dream team manager Gregg Donovan from Wonderlick, Select Music agent Stephen Wade, Publicist Claire Collins of Bossy Music and Music Lawyer Darren Sanicki leading us through ‘A Band’s Life’; a romp through a hypothetical Australian band’s developing career, plotting common real life successes, pitfalls, deals and expectations.
The APRA|AMCOS Songwriting Session gives songwriters the chance to join a hands-on masterclass with Chet Faker, or join a ‘Songwriters Breakfast’ with artists Angie Hart, Jess Cornelius from Teeth & Tongue, Mark Seymour of Hunters & Collectors, Van Walker and Charles Jenkins.
