The Monkey Club has hosted lusty parties in Melbourne for over 17 years. Now, they're loosening their requirements.
Ever wanted to get a little freaky at Australia’s (self-proclaimed) “most exclusive 5-star invitation only adult party venue”? Well, today might be your lucky day. Located in Kew, The Monkey Club Melbourne is a two-story sex mansion that has hosted more than 350 parties in its time.
But after facing backlash on its extremely restrictive door policy when it was brought to light last year, the club went offline.
The Monkey Club Melbourne
- The infamous adult-only swingers venue received criticism last year for its tight entry requirements
- In response, it went dark and took down its website
- The website is now back with a looser set of rules

Now the club has re-emerged online with a slightly more inclusive set of standards. Before, women were only allowed to enter the club if they were between size 6 and size 10, as reported by The Herald Sun.
The size requirements have grown, but just a touch – women must now be between size 8 and 12, as the company mentions between hearts emojis on the top of its screening page.
As for men, there are no specific rules, however, they must be “slim or athletic or muscular” with “no excessive weight around the waist or stomach”.
To prove this, hopeful applicants must take a photo of themselves in lingerie, underwear or swimwear holding a piece of paper with the current date written on it “well away from [the] tummy or waist area”, and then send it to the company email for judgment. The rules state no sunglasses, filters, edited photos, or “breathing in” when the photo is taken.
“We do not expect you to be a supermodel,” reads the page.
All patrons must be between the ages of 21 and 35 and either part of a couple or a single woman.
The testing may seem rigorous, but once you’ve secured the invite, expect evenings filled with scandalous fun atop furniture imported from the UK, Japan and France, as well the “infamous 1960’s Austin Powers style round bed” (at the price of $150 a couple).
“We have a very big following,” the website reads. “It also obviously shows we do not invite just anybody, any age, any size to our very well-known 5-star parties.”
