Even celebrate 25th anniversary with massive Aussie tour

Words by Jonti Ridley

We’re not sure how you celebrated your 25th birthday, but we bet it wasn’t spent touring across the country.

Aussie power trio Even are celebrating their 25th anniversary with a number of headline gigs across Australia. It’s been a while since the Even crew first took the stage at North Fitzroy’s Empress of India Hotel — in fact, it’s been a quarter of a century — but these ’90s icons have been perfecting their sound ever since.

The pop-rock darlings have been treating listeners to sparkling singles such as ‘Sunshine Comes’, ‘Stop and Go Man’ and ‘The Opener’ since before some of us were born. Although the band have constantly released albums over the years, it’s a rare opportunity to see them play their favourite picks from their long-spanning career.

Singer-songwriter and guitarist Ashley Naylor, drummer Matthew Cotter and bassist Wally Kempton are ready to say thank you to their fans for the years of support in the best way they know how: performing.

Check out Even’s tour dates below:

Thursday September 26 — Howler, Melbourne VIC

Friday September 27 — Marrickville Bowlo, NSW

Saturday October 12 — Jive Bar, Adelaide SA

Saturday November 2 — Scene & Heard Festival, Brisbane QLD

Sunday November 3 — The Forum, Melbourne (with The Dandy Warhols)

Wednesday November 6 — Enmore Theatre, Sydney (with The Dandy Warhols)

Sunday November 10 — Scene & Heard Festival, Newcastle NSW
