Sydney songstress Emma Davis has this week released a brand new music video for her single Machines, which comes off her debut, self titled album.
Directed by Paul Murphy, a Sydney based film-maker, the clip is an animated piece that moves with precision and purposeful stiffness. The imagery has been intricately created by fabrics from Murphy’s own clothing.
What is even more detailed than this is the way the images wash evenly with Davis’s unique sound. The melodies drift dreamily through the video with an engaging combination of percussion. It has become signature of Davis, who worked on her album with music veteran Brian Campeau.
Emma Davis has since been conducting tours up and down the East Coast of Australia and will next be performing at Peat’s Ridge Festival in Glenworth Valley, New South Wales.
