A comedy of sex, drugs and alchemy set in Renaissance Prague, Elixir tells the story of Dr John Dee and Edward Kelley, Europe’s greatest wizards, and their attempts to find the elixir of youth. Based on real events, the play also features Holy Roman Emperor Rudolf II, psychedelic mushrooms and the legendary Golem of Prague. Elixir premiered in Prague in 2013 and has since tickled audiences at The Camden Fringe in London.
