Blending wild spontaneity with laser-focused precision, his performances are said to be electronic of the highest order and it’s not everyday fans have the chance to see an act of this calibre in such an intimate space.

Born in Tokyo and based in Berlin, Objekt (also known as TJ Hertz) is a legend in the electronic scene. Breaking out with his self-released stamped whitelabel 12″ records Objekt #1 and #2 in 2011, he quickly gained a dedicated following and secured praise from luminaries such as Aphex Twin and Autechre.

His early club tracks Cactus and Unglued have become staples in the scene, while his 2014 track Ganzfeld picked up the coveted title of RA’s #1 track of 2014. His latest release, 2022’s Objekt #5 takes a slower yet fiercely original approach, delving into dancehall rhythms and sonics.

As Objekt takes the stage at Miscellania for this impromptu show this Friday night, fans can anticipate not just a performance but a sonic odyssey guided by TJ Hertz’s dedicated craftsmanship and boundary-pushing musical exploration.

He’ll be going b2b with mysterious genre-bending spinner CCL, with support from Bejing-born, Melbourne-based beat slinger Moopie.

Tickets are expected to move quickly, so we recommend getting in early so you don’t miss out. Grab yours here.
