Eastbound Buzz

Americana-tinged indie rockers Eastbound Buzz are back with their first release in over a year, the infectious new single ‘Pretend to Be’. A taste of their upcoming second EP ‘Yathella’, ‘Pretend to Be’ delivers on the timeless, evocative songwriting style that has endeared the Melbourne five-piece to a growing fanbase. The band are keen to bring the track to life at the Catfish alongside some very special guests.

Renowned for their “reliably rousing working class indie rock” (Dave Ruby Howe, triple j) and their electric, commanding live performances, Eastbound Buzz has developed a reputation as a band to watch. After generating significant excitement with the release of their debut EP ‘Opportunity Shop’, the band have been selected for inclusion in the BIGSOUND lineup, filled increasingly large venues in their adopted hometown of Melbourne, and hit the road to play shows up and down Australia’s East Coast. With new releases on the way and plans to perform for audiences far and wide, Eastbound Buzz are showing no signs of slowing down in 2022.
