After an extremely successful 2018, the East Gippsland Food, Wine and Beer Festival is back on April 6 for another day of culinary (and alcoholic) delight.
Supported by Visit Victoria, the festival is set to be even bigger and better with the event expanding to provide chefs, educators, brewers and producers with a chance to showcase their creations to attendees.
Ticketholders can look forward to sampling a plethora of locally produced food, wine and beer from vendors including Street Eats, Burger Mamma, Brown Brothers and Kaiju Beer. There’ll be tonnes of entertainment including live music, a cheese-tasting masterclass and scone-making workshop. Plus, parents are encouraged to bring the kids along as there’ll be free activities to keep them entertained and engaged throughout the day.
Whether you’re a foodie, beer lover, wannabe wine-connoisseur or just wanting a fun day out with the family, the festival is sure to please.
The festival recommends bringing cash, a deck chair or picnic mat, water and make sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing. If you’re feeling fancy, VIP tickets are available, which grants ticketholders access to the Elder Real Estate Bairnsdale VIP Area with a private bar.
The event will be held at Bairnsdale Racecourse, 75 Racecourse Rd Bairnsdale on Saturday April 6 and will run from 11am to 5pm. For more information, head to the festival website.
