As well as landing at #67 on this year’s Hottest 100 with their track ‘Shred for Summer’, DZ Deathrays will be setting up pop-up bars across the country to celebrate the release of their forthcoming album, Bloody Lovely.
The Bloody Lovely Pop-Up Bars bring to life the imaginary bar seen on the album cover and will offer fans a chance to step into the record’s world.
“We have always wanted to open our own bar at some point and I guess this is a good way to test the waters and also launch the new record with a bang,” says DZ Deathrays guitarist and vocalist Shane Parsons. “In the studio we were trying to get that feeling of a fun dive bar with our music playing in the background while people shoot pool and talk shit.”
The DZ Deathrays lads will be hanging out at each of the bars, playing a DJ set and reinforcing those dive bar vibes to the best of their ability.
Capping it off, they’ll also be pouring out a re-brew of their very own beer, the Pills ‘N’ Thrills Pilsner.
