Dusty Sessions – Melbourne Singer-Songwriter Showcase Vol 12

Welcome to Dusty Sessions Volume 12

We are extremely excited to be back at The Brunswick Green on our favourite fairy-light strewn stage, with another stellar line-up of Melbourne talent!

We acknowledge that this event will be taking place on stolen land, and pay respects to the traditional custodians; the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. Sovereignty was never ceded, and we still have a long way to go to make equality our reality. Part of every ticket sold to this event will be donated to the Pay The Rent organisation in Victoria, who run community projects and offer aid to first nations people.

Nina Rose

Nina Rose blends her velvety vocals and mellowing guitar rhythms taking you on a folky acoustic carpet ride. Influenced by artists such as Tracy Chapman, Emmylou Harris and Nina Simone, her original songs tell tales of love, loss and everything in between. Whether she’s singing in bars, on the street, in nursing homes or to her little nephews, she brings a contagious energy that will get you grooving along.

Leo Nazz

Meet Leo Nazz, a country/folk singer-songwriter based in Melbourne who is passionate about telling stories through his music. With his trusty guitar and harmonica, Leo paints warm and raw soundscapes upon which his stories would unfold. Blending imagery and lyricism, Leo explores themes of love and relationships and the difficulties and challenges these can bring.

Being an expressive and soulful songwriter who isn’t afraid to delve into the more complex aspects of human emotions, Leo is interested in exploring the inner workings of people and their relationships, examining what went wrong and what could have been. Reflecting the uncertainty, heartache and complicated nature of relationships, Leo’s music is emotional, thought-provoking and relatable, connecting with listeners on a deep level.

Jamie Elder

Raised on the pristine white sand beaches of Mount Maunganui and living in Melbourne, a blues infused, stoked on folk, swinging singing fellow. We see a guitar in one hand, a surfboard in another hand, mobile app development in another hand, and a skateboard in another hand. That’s a lot of hands. These four hands make up the soul of Jamie Elder. Get into it, not out of it.

Influences include: Jimi Hendrix, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, The Black Keys and The White Stripes to name a few. Really inspiration is drawn from anything authentic. Even friendship.
