Recorded at the renowned Kitty Records studio in Sunshine Coast, Queensland over a two-week period in November 2022, this EP represents the culmination of Doris’s work as a band over the past two years.
“Birthday Cards delves into some extremely personal moments in my life, and the vulnerability of that process has always been something I’ve struggled with,” the singer shares.
“It touches on family relationships, anxiety, and my struggles with being queer, and I think all of these moments translate into the music, and allow space for people to apply their own thoughts and experiences to the lyrics.”
Since their formation in 2020, Doris has shared the stage with notable bands such as Sesame Gurl, Pist Idiots, Dust, Shady Nasty, and Raave Tapes, captivating audiences across the East-Coast of Australia.
