Melbourne’s version mirrors the Tasmanian concept of mixing sauna heat with cold water immersion. Users enjoy purpose-built facilities on a dedicated vessel.
The sauna boat concept transforms traditional wellness practices into a unique waterfront experience. Guests move seamlessly between heated sauna sessions and refreshing ice bath plunges. The Docklands setting provides both convenience with a harbour atmosphere.
Tasmania’s original Sauna Boat established the template for this wellness innovation. The southern state’s pristine coastal waters created ideal conditions for the hot-cold therapy combination. Melbourne’s adaptation brings this experience to urban waters.
The custom built vessel ensures proper facilities for the wellness experience. Deck-mounted ice baths provide immediate cold therapy after sauna sessions. The design prioritises safety while maintaining the authentic experience, a win-win.
The floating sauna represents a new approach to urban relaxation. City dwellers can now access Tasmania-inspired wellness without leaving Melbourne.
