Following an explosive night of aerialists, dancers, DJ sets, fashion, RIMMEL London experiences, bubbles and Smirnoff cocktails at Sydney’s elite Ivy, DJ Minx was crowned the winner of the competition – a title which she’s still in shock over.

“I’m absolutely lost for words, this whole experience has been incredible. Being put alongside the most talented DJs from Australia and New Zealand and having the chance to network with them has been such an amazing journey.  After tonight, I’m so excited for the future and this once in a lifetime opportunity that I am grabbing with both hands.  I can’t wait to work my ass off and make everyone involved and those who have already supported me, proud,” she said.

Announced by internationa guest ambassador and DJ direct from Pacha Ibiza, Sarah Main, DJ Minx was presented with a unique set of pure black crystal-encrusted Beats by Dre headphones, as well as her global recording contract.

Following media commitments over the coming days, Minx will embark on a trip to London and Ibiza, where she will join the likes of David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia to attend the cream of closing Ibiza parties before preparing for the release of the She Can DJ branded mixed compilation which will be set for release in November of this year.

And just when it couldn’t get any better, as part of the major prize, Minx’s own album will be released in 2012, along with attending a Producer Masterclass with an Internation Producer and SAE course in Electronic music production next year.

EMI Australasian Chairman, Mark Poston, is thrilled with the result. “The quality of the talent we have seen as a result of She Can DJ is absolutely on par with the talent we are experiencing right now around the globe – these girls are world class & have truly blown us all away!”

“I am confident that Minx will be able to hold her own on any of the international stages that include Ibiza, Miami & London as well as continue to smash it up on home ground in Australia,” he said.
