Future Mountain is a family run farmhouse brewery that formed from a joint dedication to fermentation. Paying homage to the old-world style of brewing and blending, Shane and Ian have built a new-world farmhouse brewery on the 86 tram line in an ex-mechanics shed on Wurundjeri land in Reservoir, Victoria, Australia.
There are over 12 taps constantly pouring a forever changing list of seasonal and limited edition small-batch beers, some of which will only be poured at the taproom. In addition, there are two taps which are dedicated to local Victorian wines, and a range of locally sourced spirts plus some beer infused cocktails.
A new farmhouse inspired kitchen, Field, has just been installed and is currently hosting different chefs. With a pool table, dart board and a barrel room which is perfect for functions, there is something for everyone.
Free live music is also a stable at the taproom, often happening on a Saturday late afternoon, but please check our socials for more details.
Coming off the back of winning Champion Brewpub of Australia and State Champion for Victorian, at the 2021 Independent Beer Awards, Shane and Ian along with the Future Mountain team are now running brewery tours, barrel table events and meet the brewers’ afternoons.
Come have a drink in the heart of the farmhouse brewery, surrounded by oak barrels and modern-day vessels, look into the open fermentation room and the lab with the mixed cultures bubbling away, it’s a truly immersive farmhouse brewing experience.
