Sir David Attenborough’s Planet Earth will be performed live in concert, with the acclaimed BBC documentary screening in real time with the Melbourne Pops Orchestra scoring the film throughout.

The original series is narrated by Attenborough and features a gorgeous score composed by the legendary Hans Zimmer alongside Jacob Shea and Jasha Klebe.

“Planet Earth II is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever been involved in: some of the greatest action scenes ever put on film, some of the most emotional, epic, fragile scenes I’ve ever witnessed. Filmmaking at its absolute peak,” says Planet Earth executive producer Mike Gunton.

In lieu of Attenborough himself narrating, Eric Bana will be stepping in.

Planet Earth II Live In Concert:

April 27 at Perth Arena

April 29 at Plenary, Melbourne

May 1 at Brisbane Entertainment Centre

May 4 at International Convention Centre, Sydney
