Lane, also involved with You Am I and The Pictures, is raising funds for his debut solo album, to be released through his own Field Recordings. It’s a follow up to his solo EP The Good Borne of Bad Tymes.
The $8,000 hand-carved and hand-polished customized guitar will be built from scratch. It will be engraved with the winner’s name and Lane’s signature.
Other prizes on offer include a two-hour studio session with Lane and his band, a strictly limited disc of specially written acoustic songs, a personalised version of one of the album tracks and, being quite a culinary whiz kid, a home-made Davey Lane cookbook of his favorite recipes.
