Dannii Minogue joins MSO’s Performance of a Lifetime: LIVE concert

Dannii Minogue

Minogue joins the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for its triumphant two-day show in celebration of live music and the arts returning to Melbourne.

Celebrating the end of lockdown, the return of live music to Melbourne for the summer and the resilience and community spirit of the city, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra has just added Aussie icon, Dannii Minogue, to the stellar Performance of a Lifetime: LIVE lineup for 2021.

Taking its name from the heartwarming vaccine awareness campaign launched by the city’s arts industry earlier this year, the young Minogue sister will feature alongside the already announced all-star line-up of performers from across Melbourne’s live music, arts companies and theatre shows for the epic concert at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on December 13-14 this year.

Minogue said she is excited to be making her MSO debut as part of this celebratory performance.

“It is an honour to be joining the MSO at the iconic Bowl. What a way to kick off summer in Melbourne alongside the incredible line-up,” says Dannii Minogue.

“We are ready to celebrate the return of live music and it will be beautiful to sing with a home crowd. I can’t reveal what I will be singing but I am ready to get on stage with the MSO!”

Hosted by Double J radio presenter, Zan Rowe, and conducted by MSO’s Benjamin Northey, Performance of a Lifetime: LIVE will offer a stunning evening of show tunes, soul tunes and rock-n-roll that will feature the stars of MSO’s industry-leading Performance of a Lifetime vaccination campaign, alongside a diverse program of exceptional guest performers.

Stars of the campaign (which was viewed by more than 11 million people in Australia and around the globe) Rhonda Burchmore OAM, Deborah Cheetham AO, Virginia Gay, Ali McGregor and Meow Meow will be joined by some of the biggest names in Melbourne theatre including Lucy Durack, Josh Piterman (The Phantom of the Opera), Alinta Chidzey & Des Flanagan (Moulin Rouge! The Musical), Jemma Rix & Courtney Monsma (Frozen the Musical) and Gillian Cosgriff (Harry Potter & the Cursed Child).
