With Rude Baby in the driver's seat, it's shaping up to be an event unlike anything MPavillion has seen before.
Brought to life in 2019, Rude Baby Records has quickly become a mainstay of the Melbourne underground scene and has hosted unforgettable nights at the Gaso, Revolver, and the legendary Colour Club (RIP). The collective was started as a way to highlight emerging local alternative artists, and on February 25, they’ll be doing just that with a wild day party at the iconic MPavilion.
For the latest installment of the TEETH series, Rude Baby will be bringing together the cream of the underground crop for an unmissable afternoon of hard dance, electronic, drum and bass and everything in the between.

“We were very lucky to be accepted into MPavilion’s 2022-23 program and are so excited to take our events out into nature,” says co-founder and director Gabby Bortolot. “I think visually the outdoor space will be super interesting to experience – a new backdrop for some truly awesome music.”
Sydney-based producer PTWIGGS will be flying in to unleash her signature brand of experimental electronica. Fusing meticulously constructed industrial soundscapes with ethereal vocals, she’s sure to deliver an enchanting moment in the garden’s golden hour.

Hailing from Perth, Rude Baby regular SUS1ER will be back to get the blood pumping with a relentless hard dance set peppered with ear-worm melodies. Labeled by Boiler Room as ‘Perth’s hidden warrior’, his heavy, erratic style has gained him an online cult following. Trophie and Imani will help to keep the pulse going all through the day.
After the MPav show, the gang will head off to Sydney for the first time ever, bringing the same lineup plus Jungist and Andypants to Pleasure’s Playhouse on the night of March 2.
“Rude Baby shows are super fun! They’re usually very creative and friendly. It’s a safe environment to connect with new people, talk to artists, make friends, dress up, take lots of photos, dance like crazy, mosh your heart out, etcetera. Our events aim to be inclusive and inviting,” says Gabby.
