With a career spanning almost two decades, Dallas is a stand-out of her class, a charismatic force on stage, and an almighty presence on the mic. November will mark the advent of a remarkable new phase in an already illustrious career that kicks off in her brand new ‘one-woman show’ format. Each Thursday next month, fans will have the chance to catch Dallas in action as The Gem Bar in Collingwood hosts a series of intimate free shows in which Frasca will play a sneak preview of newly fleshed material.
As Dallas herself says “Super amped about this residency. I’ve got a whole stack of new songs and I have a few little sonic surprises planned as well. On top of that, I’m excited about the incredible local artists who are coming in to support. The Gem will be a rad little second home this November… I’m looking forward to nestling into that well-trodden and iconic alcove to belt out some tunes…”
Frasca boasts many accolades including Top #10 Australian ARIA charting album, ‘Artist of the Year’ at the Independent Music Awards, and was a recent finalist for the inaugural Australian Women in Music Awards in the ‘Artistic Excellence’ category.
With a slew of previous releases, Frasca has clocked over 1000 shows including 9 international tours, as well as supporting the likes of Patti Smith, Earth Wind & Fire, and once even fronted members of legendary Aussie rock band, Midnight Oil in support of Amnesty International. From Bluesfest, Falls Festival, Woodford, Sydney Opera House, and many more in between, 2018 saw front-woman Dallas Frasca, show off her guitar skills to an estimated 1.5 billion viewers for the closing ceremony for the Commonwealth Games. Endorsed by Guns n’ Roses icon Slash, who commended the frontwoman’s ‘Great vocals, riffs and grooves’, Frasca continues to convert listeners to fans on home soil and internationally with her fierce brand of roots/rock and no tell-tale signs of slowing down yet.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to catch Dallas in an intimate setting, each Thursday in November.
