Victoria’s biggest celebration of diversity – Cultural Diversity Week – is back for 2026 with community-led events taking place across Melbourne and regional Victoria between 21 to 29 March.
The week is held annually to coincide with the United Nation’s International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (IDERD) on 21 March.
Proudly led by the Victorian Multicultural Commission, Cultural Diversity Week is an opportunity for individuals, workplaces, organisations and communities to come together to host their own events and celebrations under this year’s theme, “Culture connects us all.”
Dates: Saturday 21 to Sunday 29 March
Location: Across Victoria
Program: A variety of community-run events listed on VMConnect, or host your own event
Create an account at VMConnect to register your public event and see the full event program.
Some of the major events to be held include the annual U-NITE Multicultural Round, hosted by Melbourne Victory FC at AAMI Park, to kick off the week with celebrations concluding at the flagship Victorian Multicultural Festival at Grazeland, Spotswood over the final weekend.
