VOYAGER REACHES KICKSTARTER TARGET
Congratulations to Aussie melodic heavyweights Voyager, who have reached the $10,000 Kickstarter campaign goal for their new album. Vocalist/keyboardist Daniel Estrin says “In only three days, we reached our target of $10,000 and the pledges still keep coming. Fans from as far as Russia, Panama and Finland have shown their support – the power and passion of our fanbase continues to amaze us! Lots of people have asked whether they can still pledge now that we’ve met target. The answer to that is YES, until 31 January 2014. You can still get the vinyl, t-shirts, special pledgers’ packs, listening party and quirky rewards and the money means we can do more MORE: more touring, more quality music videos and more of our music to our crazy fans. We are Voyager, but YOU are AMAZING! Thank you!” The Kickstarter campaign will finish on January 31st, 2014. You can still secure a limited edition vinyl, t-shirt, listening party tickets and special pledgers packs at http://kck.st/19kSist

KISS SELECTED FOR ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME
It’s been a long, hard road for KISS fans – and especially Eddie Trunk – in getting the band into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame. It looked like it was never going to happen, what with all the unsuccessful fan petitions, snarky comments from Gene Simmons and even snarkier comments from journalist and Hall of Fame selector Dave Marsh who once said “KISS is not a great band, KISS was never a great band, KISS will never be a great band, and I have done my share to keep them off the ballot.” Ouch. But now, miraculously, KISS has made the cut, along with Nirvana, Peter Gabriel, Hall and Oates, Linda Ronstadt and Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), and it looks like all four original members of the band are going to come together for the induction ceremony in April 2014. Only the original four are being officially inducted, and Ace Frehley says the Hall of Fame wants the band to perform together in makeup. Ace also says he’s happy for all former members to participate (although he doesn’t want current KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer to wear his Ace makeup and costume at the show, understandably). Ace told Eddie Trunk, “If those guys wanna come up and do ‘Rock and Roll All Nite’ with the whole cast of the show, you know, that would be a great thing. They deserve a little!”
