Craig David and his full band will play his 2000 debut album Born to Do It from start to finish at Margaret Court Arena on 28 May.
Get the two-step practice in: Craig David is playing every track from Born to Do It in Melbourne in May.
MG Live and Frontier Touring are bringing Craig David and his live band out for five Australian dates on the Born to Do It World Tour, with Melbourne’s show at Margaret Court Arena on 28 May. The idea came out of two nights at London’s Hammersmith Apollo earlier in 2026, the first time he’d played the record front to back with a band. Those gigs meant enough to him that he decided to take the format worldwide, with the rest of his hits added on top.
Born to Do It came out in 2000 and went to No 1 in the UK and No 2 on the ARIA albums chart, spending more than 70 weeks on the British charts along the way. It’s the album with Fill Me In, 7 Days, Walking Away and Rendezvous on it. A 25th anniversary reissue followed in December 2025 on double gold vinyl, and the digital edition adds b-sides and remixes of tracks including Apartment 543 and Human.

Since Born to Do It, he’s notched up 25 UK top 40 singles and two UK No 1 albums. His ninth and latest studio album is Commitment. The BRITs have nominated him 14 times and the Grammys twice. He’s also won three Ivor Novello awards and holds an MBE for services to music.
TS5 is the other side of his live career. It began as a pre-party in his Miami penthouse, Tower Suite 5, and grew into a club and festival show that went on to sell out London’s O2 Arena. In 2016 it pulled more than 25,000 people into Glastonbury’s Sonic stage, a record crowd for that tent, and a year later he was playing the Pyramid stage.
