New Jerseyband Man Overboard have announced an Australian tour with I Am Villain this August. They play at The East Brunswick Club on Sunday August 28.
Sevendust fans were shattered to find out that the band has pulled out of their supporting slot with Avenged Sevenfold at the last minute. The ‘Dust were due to play at Festival Hall with A7X at the start of October but informed fans that “unforeseen circumstances” had prevented them from touring Australia. They have, of course, promised a return visit ASAP.
Poison City’s Weekender has revealed that an art show will run from 1-5pm at the Old Bar on the afternoon of Saturday September 17. It will feature artworks and photos from a variety of local artists, as well as acoustic performances from Will Wagner, Jamie Hay, Darren Gibson and Linc Le Fevre. Entry is free.
The Melbourne International Arts Festival has developed quite a reputation for bringing some interesting bands to our shores. You might remember last year they brought Mariachi El Bronx down here for one show only before swiftly flying them back home (MEAN). This year the festival boasts Japanese rockers Mono, as well as Jello Biafra who has promised a night of spoken word. “Part history lesson, part political comment, part protest. Jello’s incendiary live show guarantees an unforgettable close to this year’s program”, the press release reads. Biafra will appear at The Forum on Saturday October 22.
