The Melbourne International Arts Festival has developed quite a reputation for bringing some interesting bands to our shores. You might remember last year they brought Mariachi El Bronx down here for one show only before swiftly flying them back home (MEAN). This year the festival boasts Japanese rockers Mono, as well as Jello Biafra who has promised a night of spoken word. “Part history lesson, part political comment, part protest. Jello’s incendiary live show guarantees an unforgettable close to this year’s program”, the press release reads. Biafra will appear at The Forum on Saturday October 22.
