Sydney band Stories have announced they’ll tour in support of their new studio album with friends Belle Haven, Polaris and Perspectives. This rad collection of bands will play Workers Club in Melbourne on Saturday March 5 with locals Arkive opening proceedings. Tickets are avaiable now from Oztix.
Glassjaw are back. The beloved Long Island legends have premiered a new single, New White Extremity. It’s rumoured the track will appear on a long awaited comeback album. The last we heard from them was the incredible Worship and Tribute albumm which dropped in 2002.
Central Coast hardcore band Choke have announced the release of their debut album and will release it via massive punk powerhouse Resist. Left With Nothing sees the band add a new vocalist to their lineup and will drop on Friday January 8.
The Ghost Inside have withdrawn from the Big Ass Tour, starring The Amity Affliction, A Day To Remember and Motionless In White, which kicks off next week. In the process of cancelling all of their upcoming tour dates, they revealed the extent of the devastation suffered in a recent bus crash. “The truth is, there are a lot of very serious injuries. We are dealing with badly broken legs and ankles, cracked pelvises and fractured vertebrae that require screws, plates, rods, and careful surgery to repair.”
Hands Like Houses have jumped on board the Big Ass Tour to replace The Ghost Inside. The Aussie band are fresh off a massive 32-date tour and have just issued a new single, New Romantics. Tickets still remain to the Melbourne show at Rod laver Arena on Thursday December 17.
Clowns have been super busy this year and the Melbourne punk band absolutely refuse to slow down. They’ve just finished supporting Rise Against on their east coast dates and now they’re joining Frenzal for a stack of regional dates. Heads Of Charm and The Hard Aches will be there for the Village Green, Mulgrave show on Saturday January 9.
Poison City Records are celebrating yet another successful year this Thursday December 10 with a tidy little Christmas party. The killer lineup features an Operation Ivy covers set courtesy of The Bennies as well as sets from Infinite Void, Flour, Camp Cope and Horror My Friend. Tickets are only available at the door so if you want to head along make sure you join the party at The Old Bar early.
At The Drive-In are reuniting once more to play Rock on the Range Festival in Ohio. The band’s status was unknown after they played a handful of shows in 2012 but then returned to inactivity. They seem like fantastic candidates to be Soundwave headliners next year, though Cedric Bixler’s last interaction with the festival accused them of owing his band Antemasque money.
