Confidence Man announce debut album alongside Melbourne show

Announcing their debut album Confident Music for Confident People is on the hot act Confidence Man. The album is eleven tracks full of irresistible dance music that places young people’s issues in the centre of a rave. All written and produced by the band, this album is out April 13.

Following the release of Confident Music for Confident People, Confidence Man is hitting the road, performing their biggest headline shows to date. Taking over Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Sunday May 20, Confidence Man are supported by The Lex Deluxe Dance Hall featuring the Mystery Twins.

Confidence Man have impressed crowds around the world, and this time will be no different, heading around Australia on tour including Groovin the Moo before jetting off to festivals in London, Barcelona, New York and Manchester.

Giving us a hint of what there is to look forward to, the band has released the single ‘Don’t You Know I’m in a Band’. The sassy beats and lyrics capture the fantasist lifestyle of rock stars.

“We wrote this song for people who think they’re really cool just because they’re in a band,” shares Janet Planet. “People like us.”

“Didn’t you know” adds Sugar Bones. “Being in a band is the coolest and it ain’t ever gonna change.”

Confidence Man were nominated in 2017 for triple j’s unearthed Award and in the past two years have recently sold out two Australian headline tours, made trips to the UK and Europe and thrilled crowds at Splendour in the Grass, Glastonbury, The Great Escape, Falls Festival and Golden Plains.
