You will organise, moderate, and identify great new Unearthed talent from the community of artists, reviewers, and triple j staff, liaise directly with the Unearthed community and carry out routine admin tasks to reflect the voice of users throughout Australia. You will also assist the wider triple j Unearthed team as required to ensure the overall goals of Unearthed are being met.
Key Roles:
– Moderate reviews and identify users to feature online.
– Be the primary liaison for the Unearthed Community.
– Organise and communicate user feedback to the Unearthed team.
– Listen to and moderate music uploaded to the Unearthed site.
– Moderate video embedded on the Unearthed site.
– Carry out routine admin tasks.
– Assist the wider Unearthed team as needed.
Selection Criteria:
– A demonstrated passion for new Australian music and an ability to identify strong content from a wide variety of genres.
– An understanding of the aims and impact of triple j Unearthed, as well as its position in the Australian music industry.
– Experience working with an online community.
– Demonstrated knowledge of online publishing tools, including basic html, content management systems, photo editing, digital editing and MP3 production.
– Demonstrated administrative skills.
– An ability to be highly organised and efficient dealing with large amounts of information.
– Proven ability to work as part of a team as well as under minimal supervision.
– Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
– An understanding and commitment to ABC Editorial Policies as well as Digital Rights Management, Classification, Corporate Equity & Diversity and OH&S policies and practices and their relevance to digital media.
This position can be based in Ultimo, Sydney or Southbank, Melbourne.
