The team behind KUSAMA lend their own artistry to this year’s Inner West Art Fair at the Williamstown Town Hall in October.
Earlier this year, your Instagram might have been plastered with images of the National Gallery of Victoria’s KUSAMA exhibit. The bright colours, funky head-spin geometric prints and immersive experience was brought to life by the brother duo behind many of Victoria’s Instagram-worthy installations: Decently Exposed.
Will and Ethan Taylor will be on the same side of the fence as the artists at this year’s Inner West Art Fair. The duo first partnered with the event in 2024 and return this year to continue to support and cultivate the next generation of artists.

The Fair was founded in 2023 by Julia Bevis, artist, community-creator and director. The commission-free art fair is one of few in Victoria, and focuses on engaging with community, creativity and the desire for connection than the commercial aspects of the art world.
“It’s like planting a seed in your own backyard, you can engage with these artists and talk to them, and watch them grow, and you’re now a part of it and you will move along the path with them. You might even start your own creative path, and then watch those artists do the exact same thing for you. It’s a beautiful community like that.”
“We love getting involved in this kind of thing, we see Julia’s generosity to the artists and can’t help but feel a desire to match it. It really is about the artist here”.
Will and Ethan will be creating an interactive exhibit at this year’s event called The Lounge. The space – which is only built for three days – will offer an opportunity to be transported away from the bustle of the day and offer a space to linger in the small details of the room, to lean into your curiosity, and explore. “The things we are bringing in are the things that transport us when we interact with our work.”
Decently Exposed are no strangers to inventive, interactive spaces. Photography and woodwork have always been the mediums the brothers have been most drawn to, and visitors to the art fair can expect to engage with these artforms through The Lounge. “We get to work on some really cool projects”, Will says. “You can see how our creative outlets and skills can really be leveraged in the roles we both take on within the business. So, we make a pretty good team in that sense.”

The importance of carving out a physical space in our digital world for those artists creating with tangible mediums is integral, Will states, to capturing the human essence of the creative process.
“I really think that a physical work, the work of another human, that has been slowly refining their craft for years, such a work carries a message and that message can only be passed on once you step into its space, it’s a feeling.”
“And we need that feeling, we need it all around us, we need it in our rooms, or in our cafes, or our train stations, without it we become dull. It feeds our soul. And feeding the soul is the most human thing we can do.”
There’s something deeper and more meaningful to the experience the Inner West Art Fair offers to artists and artistic community alike.
“I think creating a space that artists are excited to come to is the key, a place that’s more than just dollar signs or an opportunity for eyeballs.”
There’s no niche market for the fair. Will promises that the event offers something for everyone. “There’s no age that would benefit more than the other, that’s the beauty of art the experience continues to grow as we continue to grow.”
“If you’re 15 or 95, there’s still an experience to be had with the art, and that experience will always be there for you, for whenever you decide to embrace it”.
The Inner West Art Fair will be running from October 17 to 19 at the Williamstown Town Hall. Tickets are available via Humanitix.
