Comedy in the Vines returns from 24-26 October with a new home in Victoria's Yarra Valley.
Australia’s premier festival of comedy, wine and wildly good times is trading Victoria’s riverbanks for rolling orchards, setting up camp at CherryHill Orchards in Coldstream. Comedy in the Vines 2025 will feature an Australian exclusive performance from UK comedy sensation Michelle De Swarte alongside Hot Dub Time Machine for a jam-packed weekend of laughter, live music and cellar door tastings.
The festival promises a powerhouse comedy lineup including Tommy Little, Nazeem Hussain, Peter Helliar, Zoë Coombs Marr, Sammy J, Anisa Nandaula and Nath Valvo. International favourites joining the bill include Ivan Aristeguieta from Venezuela, Abby Howells and Ray O’Leary from New Zealand, and Takashi Wakasugi from Japan.

Michelle De Swarte, a former model turned razor-sharp comic, has earned international acclaim with her viral Live at the Apollo set and sold-out UK tour culminating at London’s Hackney Empire. She’s also creator and star of the darkly hilarious SBS/BBC series Spent, making her Australian exclusive appearance between sold-out shows in Edinburgh and Cardiff.
Hot Dub Time Machine, the world’s original time-travelling dance party, will bring a high-voltage set to the Yarra Valley for a massive Friday night orchard rave. The act has previously rocked Coachella, Tomorrowland and Splendour, fusing hits from every era into one epic, genre-hopping journey.
Festival highlights include a fireside chat between comedy legend Judith Lucy and festival director Merrick Watts, cabaret star Reuben Kaye’s live band performance, and the return of the fan-favourite 5km Wine Run. The Meet Your Maker Bar will feature different Yarra Valley winemakers each hour, offering exclusive tastings and special wines unavailable elsewhere.
More than 20 of the region’s best winemakers will appear on the Meet Your Maker stage for intimate tastings and masterclasses, complemented by oysters and Riesling shots, gourmet snacks and spontaneous comedy throughout the weekend.
