Clowns drop new single, reveal national tour

Melbourne punk-rock outfit Clowns have gone from strength to strength during the course of their eight-year career, touring countries the world over and dropping three critically acclaimed albums. The band aren’t throwing in the towel any time soon either, revealing their new single ‘Freezing In The Sun’ and announcing a huge tour spanning Australia and Europe.

‘Freezing In The Sun’ blends abrasive riffs and screamed lyrics with a softly sung chorus and moments of stripped-back reprieve. All the while, the track is driven by a strong political message which is evident through both lines like “‘tell me what the fuck I am supposed to do/when I know my taxes are paying for kids to be held in Nauru” and the blatant film clip featuring everything from police brutality to Centrelink letters.

Clowns will be heading on tour with fellow heavy-rock outfit VOIID, kicking off in September. The six-date tour will see the band visiting Sydney, Newcastle, Maroochydore, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne. Check out ‘Freezing In The Sun’ below:
