Belly of the Beast follows Kay’s ARIA nominated Demokracy EP (2014) and With the People LP (2015) and is a reflective and personal record, one which the artist spent a great deal of time working on to perfect the flow and tracklisting.
“A lot of time was spent choosing my words, and how I wanted things to be said,” said Kay in a press release. “I challenged myself more as a wordsmith and poet on this album.”
Kay will also tour nationally alongside Illy, something he’s accustomed to having shared the stage with the likes of Ice Cube and Public Enemy, Wiz Khalifa, and locals Tkay Maizda and Seth Sentry.
