Pretty sure a CD single of every damn track from Chvrches’ debut LP has landed in my postbox in the past year. Strong Hand doesn’t let its bonus track status stop it from joining the singles fray, and fair enough – it’s definitely stronger than much of the LP proper. The twists from minimal electro into cheesy bombast into up-tempo power pop create a dynamic more inviting than the group’s all-out, overwhelming bangers.
