Cultural icon Chet Baker, with his lyrical trumpet style and tender voice, helped define cool jazz of the 1950s. A master of atmosphere, Chet’s unmistakably intimate style captivated listeners from the moment he burst onto the jazz scene.
In celebration of the “Prince of Cool”, Jackie Bornstein (vocals) and Toby Mak (trumpet) unite for an evening of reimagining Chet Baker’s classic repertoire. Together with their top band, Jackie and Toby will perform sensitive interpretations of swinging and moving tunes recorded by Chet across his nearly 40 year musical career.
