Celebrate Pride Month at the Victorian Pride Centre

Happy Pride Month! Celebrate at the Victorian Pride Centre, who are hosting a month of great events this June.

With a ton of events on this week – head to the Victorian Pride Centre in St Kilda to celebrate Pride Month. Their Printed Protest exhibition is opening from tomorrow night, displaying posters, banners and placards from decades of social and political activism from queer communities. Come along on Sunday 5 for Sunday Sizzle, a huge day featuring music, Gay Stuff Markets and, of course, a sausage sizzle.

The first purpose-built hub for LGBTQI+ people, the Victorian Pride Centre is hosting their Sunday Sizzle on June 5. With music from DJ and drag king DJ Gay Dad, as well as the shOUT Youth Chorus, grab a sausage at the sausage sizzle and enjoy the performances. Explore the Gay Stuff Markets in the Theatrette and catch drag shows on the grand staircase, featuring drag performers such as Dandrogyny, Bettie Rosé, D Flowers, Randy Roy, and Vin Tagè.

  • Thursday June 2 – ‘Welcome to Chechnya’ documentary film screening, 6.15pm to 9pm
  • Sunday June 5 – Sunday Sizzle + shOUT Youth Chorus + Gay Stuff Markets (under 18s accompanied by an adult), 12.30pm to 7pm
  • Wednesday June 8 – Printed Protest free exhibition talk, 6pm to 7pm
  • Saturday June 11 – Spill the Tea, complimentary afternoon tea, 1pm to 4pm
  • Saturday June 18 – Trans and Gender Diverse Clothes Swap, 10pm to 4pm
  • Saturday June 25 – Printed Protest free exhibition talk, 3pm to 4pm
