A celebration of Melbourne’s vibrant African community, the African Festival Melbourne is coming to the Queen Victoria Market for a celebration of food, music, art and dance.
With stalls serving authentic dishes from Ghana, South Africa, Senegal, Ethiopia and more, this is the perfect place to experience the sights, smells, sounds and tastes of African culture. Indulge in the delicious, traditional West African ‘Akara sandwich’ – street-food made from black-eye beans, onions and chili. Served by The Market’s resident African-speciality stall Tribal Tastes, they’re also serving up their BBQ chicken suya, pulled beef and zesty salads. After filling up on delicious food, enjoy live performances and African drumming.
