Conceived by Jamie Boys in 2007, each exhibition of Cashmere If You Can is centred around a 7 year bracket of human development. The age bracket of 28 – 35 years was the artists’ muse this year.
Each year a new artist is inducted, ensuring that 7 different artists contribute in the final year. This year will feature two new inductions, as last year’s inducteeMarcin Wojcik will not be particpating; Alanna Lorenzon and Benjamin Woods will be joining C.I.U.C veterans Sarah CrowEST and creator Jamie Boys.
All artists specialise in a variety of mediums. The exhibition is known to deal with a complexity ofissues including generational perception, wealth, society and different views on what ‘art’ is. Thrown into an entire bag, this year is sure to be a riot of strange stuff.
