Melbourne's west gets its first major beer, food and wine festival on the banks of Lake Caroline in Caroline Springs this weekend.
Caroline Springs is hosting the inaugural Caroline Springs Beer, Food & Wine Festival on Saturday 22 November, transforming over three acres of Lake Street, the foreshore and WestWaters Entertainment Complex into a free, family-friendly celebration. Presented by Oscars Group, the event marks the company’s Victorian debut after running successful festivals in New South Wales.

Food options span pub classics at Ruck & Rover Sports Bar, share plates and charcuterie at Miss Caroline, and seafood, pasta and premium grill selections at Saige Bistro, plus cheese platters, dessert trucks and lakeside spots to settle in for the afternoon.

Two live music stages will run throughout the day, headlined by Tim Watson from ARIA double-platinum band Taxiride and Australian Idol top five finalist Ricky Muscat. Watson brings pub rock energy celebrating Melbourne’s live music heritage, while Muscat delivers soulful pop and R&B. Local bands and artists round out six performances across the festival.
Stallholders represent Melbourne’s west and beyond, with Cavalier Brewing from Derrimut pouring award-winning craft beers from crisp pale ales to rich stouts. Laverton’s Arktika Vodka, a gold medallist at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, showcases the region’s distilling credentials. Little Lon Distilling Co. brings small-batch gins including Miss Yoko Gin, a silver medallist at the 2023 London Spirits Competition, while Abbotsford’s Bodriggy Brewing Co. pours inventive IPAs and velvety stouts.
National favourites also feature, with Byron Bay’s Stone & Wood pouring its iconic Pacific Ale in a dedicated beer garden. An Aperol cocktail lounge offers refreshing serves with lake views, while families can access kids’ games, face painting and balloon artists throughout the day.
WestWaters Entertainment Complex venues including Saige Bistro, Miss Caroline and Ruck & Rover Sports Bar will operate as usual during the festival, with added entertainment, pop-up stalls and lounges. Lake Street will be closed to accommodate the event footprint, creating a pedestrian-friendly festival zone along the waterfront.
Oscars Group is positioning the event as a showcase for Melbourne’s west, celebrating the region’s growing food and beverage scene alongside its expanding population. With free entry and programming for all ages, the festival aims to become an annual fixture highlighting local producers, musicians and community spirit in Caroline Springs.
