Calling all freaks: Sugababes reveal headlining tour

words by kaya martin

The iconic Brit-pop girl group will play three shows in Australia this February.

Lowrise denim, belly chains and velour tracksuits are back – and so is one of the most era-defining girl groups. No list of the queens of Y2K would be complete without all three members of Sugababes.

Shrouded in glamour and candy-coated pop realness, the British trio was the soundtrack to the decade’s early years, blaring from pop radio stations and dominating the charts like no one else. Now, they’ve announced they will be bringing the sass down under for three show-stopping performances in early 2023.

Sugababes 2023 Australian Tour

  • February 24 – Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne
  • February 27 – Fortitude Music Hall, Brisbane

Following a wildly popular 2022 UK reunion tour that shut down the field at Glastonbury due to popular demand, the girls have decided to take their show on the road, heading to Australia for the first time in over 20 years. They will be back in all their glory – the original lineup of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhàn Donaghy are set to take to the stage, ready to dish out hit after hit.

Fans can sing along to one of Sugababe’s number one singles like Freak Like Me, Round Round, Walk This Way and Push the Button. Their signature magnetic vocal harmonies, alternative production and energetic dance moves will bring the heat just like it was 2003 all over again.

With recent collaborations with Blood Orange and MNEK under their belt and whispers of new material on the horizon, Sugababes are showing no signs of slowing down any time soon. The upcoming shows are guaranteed to be unforgettable.

Presale tickets to see Sugababes on February 24 in Melbourne will be available on December 20, with public sales going live on December 21. To buy yours, head here
