Playaz Club isn't just a weekly summer shootout from the legends at Section 8, it's a celebration of community, street basketball and hip hop.
And, being a Section 8 gig, it features top-drawer artists – hosted by MJ (100% Phat) and soundtracked by resident DJs and guest musicians.
Structured around an open format, multi-round battle, each baller will have their chance to shoot and collect points. At the end of the night, the baller with the most points is crowned the winner, receiving a bunch of prizes from WNDRR, Monkey Shoulder, Hop Nation and Bellini, as well as a drink tab from the bar.
It’s completely free to compete, so tie those laces and shoot some hoops every Monday night from 5:30pm.

Playaz Club has been running every Summer at Section 8 for at least five years now, running weekly on a Monday until the end of daylight savings. Featuring DJs from 6pm – late and hosted by 100% Phat’s head honcho MJ.
There will be a huge prize pack at the launch for the winner, which includes streetwear from WNDRR, $100 cash, a $100 bar tab and booze from Hop Nation, Monkey Shoulder & Karma’s a Peach Bellini. The season will culminate in a grand final, with the best of the best competing for the grand prize.
