Brunswick Music Festival expands 2025 program, including an underwater listening experience

Words by Staff Writer

Brunswick Music Festival has revealed its most ambitious program yet, expanding to include underwater sonic experiences, punk shows in heritage buildings, and a stellar international lineup for its 37th year.

Ever wanted to hear live music while fully submerged at Brunswick Baths? How about catching a raucous punk show in the retro surrounds of Brunswick Library? The festival’s latest additions prove there’s no venue off limits for BMF’s musical takeover of the suburb.

The free events calendar has also expanded, kicking off with the massive Sydney Road Street Party on March 2. Fresh addition Neighbourhood Noise joins the program on March 8, while March 9 brings both the Bulleke-bek Journey and Mz Rizk’s celebration of Arabic culture, Habibi Hafla. The legendary Kutcha Edwards and Friends close out proceedings on March 10 with a special free performance.

Running March 2-10, 2025, the festival will feature over 60 events across Brunswick’s diverse venues.
